Welcome to the home of Scantography, "The Graphic Art of Scanning". This site has many examples of "Artwork Created by using a Flatbed Scanner and a Personal Computer." These techniques work with Adobe Photoshop or other graphics programs. Many different effects can be archived with this process. Make the most of your flatbed scanner and find new ways to create unique art that is fun and inexpensive. This technique was developed by Richard Rownak.
      An instructional .pdf file is available now. The file can be downloaded to your personal computer and printed. The cost to download the file is $8.00 US and the methods of payment available are PayPal, Visa or Mastercard. There is also a link for a free download of Adobe Acrobat Reader, in case you do not have it already. You will need Acrobat in order to read, save or print the .pdf file. The subject matter which I have chosen to use in my Scantography work so far has been plants, mostly flowers. Once you learn the "Secrets of Scantography" from the instructional .pdf file you will be able to create your own large and colorful images and the difference with Scantographyand images from digital cameras is that the larger the scanographs are printed the better they look. The difference is in the resolution that you are able to set with your scanner software. You can use my special technique which will really make a big difference to your scans.
